As I start my journey into the world of warm glass I've come to discover the beautiful diversity of Dichroic glass and it's endless possibilities. With it's wonders and wow-ability a piece of Dichroic jewelry is always a favorite accessory to any outfit, whether it be casual or out on the town.
Some of my best pieces arrive as an "oops" piece that are reworked or just used "as-is" to provide the one of a kind piece that so many desire. Each piece of dichroic jewelry is literally a one of a kind piece that can never be completely reproduced in exactly the same way.
Pam & Brandi
The gift of creating beautiful pieces of art out of glass is one that was inspired by my dad, Fred Baze. I have learned most of what I know about working with glass from him. Dad constantly challenges me to improve my skills and expand my knowledge about working with stained glass as well as warm glass techniques. The perpetual student and perfectionist, dad is truly a work of art himself and has taught me how to be the caring, honest, hard working person I am today. Oh, and don't forget my mom, Fern Baze... she has taught me to love, to laugh and to appreciate family. I think I inherited my love of gardening from mom also. Thanks mom and dad for all you have taught and continue to teach me about life :)
After completing my first foiled project under
the instruction of my dad, I very quickly became hooked on glass. I
started out in 1990, working out of a small shed off a carport in
Pensacola, Florida but didn’t actually start creating commission pieces
until after our second daughter was born in 1991. From
The love of my life...
As a Navy spouse, flexibility is a way of life that is a necessity every day. As an Occupational Therapist or as a glass artist my creativity is allowed to develop and blossom with time. As a full time home health occupational therapist, my studio time is pretty much limited to nights and weekends. I am constantly jotting down ideas for new creations as I am driving from one location to the next. Some of my inspirations arrive unexpectedly while others are planned... to some extent. Shapes, colors, designs, animals, buildings... you name it, I am inspired by it. Dan, high school sweetheart, love of my life and husband of 25 years is always coming up with new ideas to keep my creative juices flowing and new ideas growing.
